Stick-on trim: do this first
Every adhesive part (climate overlays, steering wheel trim, mirror covers, door inserts, console tray) goes on the same way. The tape only sticks as well as the prep.
- Warm it up. Work above 15°C. In winter, use a heated garage or run the heater for 10 minutes first.
- Dry-fit. Hold the part in place with the backing still on so you know exactly where it lands.
- Clean. Wipe the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it flash off. No Armor All, no interior detailer.
- Warm the tape. 10–20 seconds with a heat gun on low or a hair dryer.
- Peel and place. Line up one edge first, then lay it down. You get one shot, so take your time.
- Press hard. Firm pressure over the whole part for 30 seconds.
- Let it cure. Give it 24 hours before heavy use and 72 hours before washing exterior parts.

Part: Climate Control Overlays

- Confirm your wheel has the adaptive cruise buttons. Earlier wheels won't match.
- Follow the stick-on steps above, one side at a time.
- Press around the button cutouts with a fingertip so the edges seat.
Phone storage door inserts · 5th Gen · Easy · 10 min
Tools: Rubbing alcohol, heat gun or hair dryer.

Part: Aluminum Foot Pedal Set
Exterior
Side mirror covers · 2014–2024 · Easy · 15 min
Tools: Rubbing alcohol, heat gun or hair dryer.
- Wash the mirror caps. Wax or sealant has to come off, so go over them twice with rubbing alcohol.
- Follow the stick-on steps above.
- Start at the edge nearest the glass, then roll the cover over the cap.
- No car wash for 72 hours.
Part: Side Mirror Covers
Tri-colour grille badge · All gens · Easy · 10 min
Tools: Small screwdriver, small wrench or pliers.
- Pick your spot on the grille and check you can reach behind it.
- Push the badge's mounting studs through the mesh or slots.

Lighting
LED tail lights · 4th and 5th Gen · Easy · 20–30 min
Tools: Socket set, trim tool or a plastic pry tool, a towel.
- Open the rear hatch and lay a towel on the bumper.
- Remove the bolts holding the tail light on its inside edge.
- Pull the light straight back. It's held by clips, so wiggle it rather than prying.
- Unplug the factory harness.
- Plug in the new light and test it now: brake, running, signal and reverse.
- Line up the clips, push it home and reinstall the bolts. Repeat on the other side.
Parts: Smoked LED Tail Lights (5th Gen), Prism LED Tail Lights (5th Gen), Smoked LED Tail Lights (4th Gen)
Sequential mirror turn signals · 2014–2024 · Moderate · 45 min
Tools: Plastic trim tool, small screwdriver set, a towel.
- Confirm your mirrors have factory turn signals. These won't fit mirrors without them.
- The signal sits in the mirror housing and is reached by removing the mirror glass. Tilt the glass all the way in one direction and work it off its clips with a trim tool. Go slowly in the cold, since the glass is the expensive part.
- Unplug the heater wires from the back of the glass (heated mirrors) and set it on a towel.
- Remove the factory signal, unplug it and plug in the new one.
- Test it before you reassemble.
- Reassemble in reverse and press the glass back onto its clips.

Ditch light brackets · 5th Gen · Moderate · 30 min + wiring
Tools: Socket set, torque wrench, wire ties.
- Pop the hood.
- The brackets bolt to factory locations, so loosen the factory bolts one at a time. Don't remove both at once.
- Set the bracket in place, refit the bolts and tighten them.
- Mount your light pods to the brackets and aim them out to the sides.
- Run the wiring along existing harnesses, keep it clear of the hood hinge, and wire-tie it.
- Open and close the hood a few times to check that nothing pinches.
Light pods and wiring sold separately. Part: Ditch Light Brackets
Overland and storage
Rear window MOLLE panels · 5th Gen · Easy · 30–60 min
Tools: 10 mm socket, extension and ratchet, 10 mm wrench, Phillips screwdriver, trim tool, Allen key for the included hardware, blue thread locker (optional).
- Clear the cargo area and fold the 2nd row if it gives you room. Keep a cup for the factory screws and covers.
- Upper point: pop the cover off the coat hook above the rear side window and remove the 10 mm bolt. You'll reuse it.
- Lower points: pry off the small trim cover below the glass and remove the 10 mm bolt, then remove the fastener holding the cargo tie-down toward the hatch.
- Thread the included spacers into the lower points by hand and snug them. Don't crank on them.
- Hang the panel and start every bolt by hand, upper first. Don't tighten yet.
- Square the panel up and tighten lower front, lower rear, then upper. Keep the ratchet clear of the glass.
- Repeat on the other side. Shelf kit: leave both panels loose, set the shelf in place, then do the final tightening.
- Shake test each panel. Recheck after your first gravel road.
3rd-row seat owners: the panels sit near the side curtain airbag area, so don't carry passengers in the 3rd row with panels installed.
6th Gen (2025+): same no-drill approach, using the 6th Gen's factory points. Not compatible with 3rd-row models.
Parts: 5th Gen panels, 5th Gen panels with shelf, 6th Gen panels
